Do you want to learn how to play the Pokémon TCG? Well, you’ve come to the right place. The Pokémon Trading Card Game (or TCG) is a fast-paced showdown where you build decks with pocket monsters (a.k.a. Pokémon), attach shiny energy cards on them, and fire away at the opponent. It is part intense chess match, part nostalgic art collection if you’re collecting, and part adrenaline rush when you eventually evolve a cute starter into a terrifying dragon. Here are a few key points from the video:

• 60 cards in every deck, no more, no less, exactly 60

• Three types of cards: Pokémon, Trainers and Energy

• You can only have 4 copies of cards with the same name except for Basic Energy

• You have to wait a turn before evolving a Basic into a Stage 1, also applies for Stage 2

• You can’t play a Supporter going first on turn 1

• You can attach Tools to Pokémon but only 1 per Pokémon

• There can only be 1 Stadium in play
